MyFishFinder.com Just like iceshanty but warmer
I don’t want to divert the topic to a gear discussion....but do any of you use a pop up type shelter around here? I don’t usually have the need for one in north Idaho but I’ve been thinking about it a bit. Especially if I try somewhere a bit colder/windier like Montana. If you do use one is it insulated or do you find that the uninsulated variety works fine?
Went up to Bonners yesterday for work. Checked out Twin on the way back. Still ice there but I heard a couple guys fell through last week. Not sure of the validity of it though. Saw ice on Cocolala but didn't check it out. Ive pretty much gave up on ice this year so Im heading to Orofino this weekend for some steelhead even with the crappy regs.
I was also trying to fish Monday. Was thinking blue is the best bet.
Did you go to Blue on Monday? I'm sure the edges are gone now?
Any Kokanee lakes in Montana?
Lake Mary Ronan is probably the closest lake that has kokes in it. Fishing is done at night but you can fish for perch during the day. It used to be really good...haven't been in several years (3-5).
Thanks for info.
