stupid rain today

Stupid rain destroyed my chances of making any hauls out of town to get out on the ice. I'll have to sneak out tomorrow for a bit. Wonder if the rain today will knock down the top layer of snow on the lakes. Better make sure to put on my cleats

This rain is exactly what we need to get rid of some of this snow, we sure can't complain about our ice conditions this yrs, once the ice came on ,it stayed on ,we've had a great ice season again

Ha...not made of sugar roeboat...I didn't make the drive for rainbows due to ice but went a little more local and got about 15 decent gills on some little black nypth flies. Stayed until I had about a half inch of ice on me and all my gear and made a sketchy drive home.

Some rainbows on the ice would be better...Mayebe tomorrow before my wife's ultrasound..gotta get in as much fishing here before the babies born..ha

Congrats on the baby, that's a game changer!  I was hoping this weather would help with the snow but I think it may make it worse.

            Always nice to have the ice picks, but doubt you will need them for a while!!

Ha. Yeah. I wear them when I go out by myself. Ventured off today to some shore edges and near some areas I hadn't Been. Doesn't take much to throw them on.
