yes. kinda. the top opens and u put water and bait. then on the backside near bottom there is a oil lamp base and u would light that and it would prevent you minnows and water from freezing. i think these were made back in the fifties to early sixtys. i have had this in my collection for about 20 yrs. they are not to easy to find complete anymore. although occasionally they come up for sale on Ebay. the only mint condition one i have ever seen was on ebay and it had its original box and it sold for 265.00 but that was about 2yrs ago.
