IN MY OPINION the 1st choice for food is the daphnia for hardwater panfish
less then 3mm, round in shape,colors-white,pink,slow/bouncing movement,
likes low light, stay in open water, move down with light/up with dark
and lots of them-a good jig that looks like them is MARMOOSKA,H.T.PERCHEYE
DAPHNIA.there are many others-key is size then movement

PUREST-in my opinion is has a shape of a copepod or shrimp
with a cylindrical shape,elongated with tapered head,BUT
not species specific SIZE IS THE KEY

the thing about the purest is that in the water, it perfectly imitates the gentle bobbing motion that daphnia have.
