I use regular screening that you would use in a screen door. I know guys who just gather the leaves and take them home. Then they spread a tarp out on the garage floor and go through them to harvest the grubs.
Have fun, Steve, and I hope you get a bunch.

my brother has over 300 doz...he lives to fish. we found this site and he loves it.he would like to move some of his oakleafs,,,,,,but don't know how.any ideals??? ??? ???

If I had that many I would probably contact a few bait shops and see who would give me the best wholesale price.

I think I'll go looking for oak leaf grubs this weekend, and take my muzzle loader with me in case a deer walks by.

do walleyes like oakies. ive fished perch with them and have had limited success. ive watched them on the aqua vu and they never stop twisting and turning. alotta perch come upand just look and leave. seems like there was to much movement for them. obviously when theyre  really feedin they grab it but normally they seemed to shy away. i was surprised cause when i was a kid oakies used to be the bait  that caught all the slobs
