Live Decoys
« on: Jan 19, 2012, 11:50 AM »
I have been watching some spearing videos on youtube, and have seen some people using about a 17" live northern with a rope attached to it along with their fake decoy..
Anybody use this technique or do you just stick with the fake decoy's?

No I've never heard of using a live pike. I've used perch and bait shop minnows as a live decoys. A 17" pike wouldn't be legal in most places in Michigan, but were I spear it would be, the thought never crossed my mind.
