Has anyone checked ice conditions or heard anything on Willard yet ?

I checked Wellington unground Xmas morning. Both these lakes seem to build at the same rate every year, the only ice was on the south bank out about 30 yards, skim ice at that, is ready, now need those cold calm days. I imagine Willard is the same.

Fished it saturday in the rain and had 6-8 inches.  Should be good haven't lost much ice   I know cause i fished a pond today we fished Sunday and edges haven't melted any  more     4 of us at willard nd only 15 dink perch in over 2 hours.    We were by the pumphouse

I had buddies out there Sunday and heard a hole or two had opened up with other areas not looking good.  The shore ice is not good at all; I watched a guy get a wet leg Saturday. Fishing has been very slow and keepers have been few and far between. Personally I would not drive three hours but it's up to you.
