Clam FT Bolt replacements
« on: Nov 25, 2011, 10:57 PM »
I ordered a FT Pro package from BassPro yesterday and am (barely) patiently waiting it's delivery. I have read that a lot of guys have, or had to, replace the factory bolts that come with the FT's due to breaking. Can someone give me a rundown of what size/count of the nuts & bolts I will need so I can buy them ahead of time? I live 20 miles from the nearest hardware store and would like to have them on hand when it arrives.

I feel your pain TH.  Waiting on a Kenai myself.  I have been researching the hardware issue as well.  In the Kenai manual, they have a parts list complete with sizes and quantities.  You might check the Clam website for a manual for the shelter in your package...

Great idea. I was able to find the older Scout manual, hope the bolts are basically the same as the newer Scout TC.

You probably won't need to replace any bolts. Their quality on the hardware has gotten a lot better.  All the bolts on my new Clam were perfect.
The Greenhornet's caught more fish then you've lied about, Gustafson!
