Are there any boots made in the USA?
« on: Nov 23, 2010, 07:02 PM »
Looking for a new pair of boots. My last pair of lacrosse boots (made in china) didn't last two seasons before ripping out.  Can anyone recommend any boots that are made in the USA? I've stopped at a couple of local shoe stores but everything I look at is made in china.

I don't know where their made but the Cabellas pred extreme's are warantied for life.  That's as good of a shot you got now a days.  I know the upper line Danners are made in America.  But your talking $300.  Even the pronghorns for $190 are made in china.  And only warantied for  a year  http://www.danner.com//customer-service/warranty-info/ .  Believe me I know I just replaced a pair of 4 yr old leaky danners with pred extremes.  Paid $190 for the Danners and You can get a pair of extremes for $119  on sale at Cabellas right now   http://www.cabelas.com/product/Cabelas-Predator8482-Extreme-Pac-Boots-150-BrownMossy-Oak174-Break-Up/722118.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3Fform_state%3DsearchForm%26N%3D0%26fsch%3Dtrue%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3Dpredator%2Bextremes%26x%3D0%26y%3D0&Ntt=predator+extremes

Here's danners cold made in America selection.  Don't get me wrong they were great boots until they started to leak.     http://www.danner.com/boots/#climate=57&features=79

Good luck.
Most manufacturers won't tell you the country of origin. You normally have to find out by reading it on the box or on the product. Since manufacturing is so rediculously heavily regulated here not much is manufactured here anymore.
