My 2nd official post.Tried several local spots today and was lucky to get off both of them.Hit pinkhouse cove.Place has stunk this year,nothin goin on . They raised the water and wish the plank was a foot longer.Left there and tried the island.Decent yellows on jigs and large shiners.The guys had some pallets set up and tied together . Looked like a floating dock. When you got off 2 guys had to stand on the end.Defitnately not gonna be safe this week.No sense takeing a plunge for a fish. I did see some guys open water fishing for stripers,no luck from what they said but since it's like our home turf I'm not sure they were so truthful. I respect that since it's my favorite fly spot in the spring.Hope we get some cold or next week will be another run up rt. 8.
