Barbers Pond 2/20/11
« on: Feb 20, 2011, 04:15 PM »
Went out today to Barbers a 14 inch pickerel a 10 inch perch and a 12 inch trout. Pretty good day especially thinking no one else caught anything when I was there.
Fishing is a sport in which thinking is involved it is the covenant between nature and man, mother and son. Through fishing only can we recreate the link that has been tarnished throughout the existence of the modern era of mankind. Fishing is the answer yet people ignore it and consider it a "stupid" thing to do. What do these people do instead? They stare in front of color changing boxes. Is that life? My life is fishin

Yesterday I saw Rainbow trout, small perch, bluegill, crappie and a ton of pickerel. I thought I picked the wrong day to go. The salmon are in there, they just need more time. I'm looking foreward to getting some in the open water this spring. Always appreciate the report good or bad. Thanks---------------SS

All the fish were jigged on size 2 Swedish pimples the rainbow on a white one and the pickerel and perch on a golden one.
