How was I supposed to know there was a power pole there? ;D

Snow just went from a major pain to a small annoyance.... 8)

When I went to pick it up, I choked it and pulled it over a few times. The fuel was running out of the belly pan in a steady stream. I think it may be carburation and not a bad engine. They said it bogged way down and backfired before it stopped. I will do a compression check before I do anything, but they swear a shop overhauled the engine less than 200 miles ago. :)

Fix for a day, ride for an hour... ;D

was it squirting out the side of the carb? if so all you gotta do is clean the carbs and your good to go! :) this happened to my old jag and all i had to do was clean the carb and put new plugs in and runs like a champ. looks like a nice sled and good luck with it

The left hole is cooked. It looks like the piston was freshly sandblasted and it nearly has a hole in it in one spot. The bore is junk too, I will have to check my options for a used jug (one big jug for both holes), or machine shop service. They sure did overhaul it, it had fresh new gaskets in it. ::) I think the cylinder may have went lean or the oilier plugged. I think the oil injection may go in a junk pail, mixing gas is not that tough. I knew I had trouble when I found a piece of piston skirt in the air box. :-\

On one hand, bummer... On the other, I will have a fresh engine when I am done. :)
