lake champlain help..

Im wanting to make a weekend trip  out to lake champlain this year but im not gonna be able to till some time mid to end of april....is that to late to be planing a trip out there.....

ricky I have fished earlier and later than that so I can't be of too much help. But with the way this winter is going you may be fishing on 36".

I went to Champlain a few years back in early April for some fishing... I wasn't sure if I was gonna be doing ice fishing or open water, so I brought all my gear. There was no ice. Well thing do change year to year, I have my doubts that there will be ice by mid April to the end of April.

This is a good time to target pre-spawn or spawning bass though!
