Go through Alliance to the east side of town. Turn left (north) at Taco John's and go about 3 or 4 blocks north. It'll be on the right (east) side.

Good Luck!

Got to go out yesterday it was a blast flags kept us busy for the first part of the day then we picked up quite a few on the the jigging rods.  Ended up running out of bait 25 to 30 northerns all in that 20 to 26 range threw most of em back only kept a couple,  caught one that was 28 on jiggin rod.  Found the perch till my fish finder died pulled 3 out in bout 15 mins they were all pretty nice 10 inch or so.  Ice was 10 to 12 sum had a crusty layer with water underneath so be careful if it warms up this week.

Made a quick stop today, ended up with 2 northern and 1 perch.  Northerns were 19" and 24", kept the 24" - swallowed the hook so it went home.  Perch was 11 1/2".

Fished 8' of water, northerns were caught about 4' from the ice.

Ice was 8-10", slushy on the top in places, be careful in the emergent weeds, ice was a little soft in places.

19"

24"

Stomach contents of 24" northern

11 1/2"

Finicky bite on the panfish in the short time I was there.  Could raise them off the bottom, but couldn't persuade them to bite.

Fished Hunter's Point from 6:30 until about 3:00!  Quite a few pike from about 9:30-11:30!  All of the pike were 20-28".  Very little pan fish success!  Only a few small perch and small gills.  I did get to meet fishsmith I believe!  Very nice gentleman!  Hope to see you out soon!  I'll try not to be such a lurker!! HAHA

Another great weekend at the Butte. Fished the west end again in about 8' of water. The kid caught his first pike and we took an elderly friend who had never experienced tip ups. Got a late start at 11 and still iced over 20 pike and a big largemouth.

Have been busy with the small perch with the occasional perch in the 10 to 12.5 inch range.

Fished today from 11-3:30. Perch were nowhere to be found. Two dinks. Caught 5 northerns, nothing to be proud of. On west end. Snow showers off and on did not help. Needed some sun.

x2.  Stuck between here or Glendo, WY.  Want to pick the best of the worst (as far as ice conditions & warm weather this week).

Good clear ice with a couple inches of snow. Around 14"? Heard you need a plank to get on Glendo

Tough day on the ice....wondering if I'm the only one who struggled to find the fish today at Box Butte.  Got into a few little perch...broke off a nice fish but didn't see it!  I figure it was a northern, but I never say it!  Any other reports?  It was difficult to get onto the lake, but when I did get out there the ice was about 13 inches thick, most of which was nice, dark ice!  Let me know if there are any others out there that have a report.

fished box butte for the first time ever today, was quite happy with it in all. Drove from ogallala and "accidentally" slept in this morning so got out on the ice around 1:30 2:00pm, fished until 5. Had probably 7 flags go before a fish was caught but at the end of the day we had 5 northerns on the ice largest one was 23'' had quite a few other flags go that were not caught. pretty good day except the first twenty feet from the bank was really thin and ended up breaking though for most of it. (hate wet feet)
