Champlain Walleye Spots
« on: Dec 29, 2008, 05:50 PM »
If the lake ever locks in i would like to try some new areas, even though it would be quite a drive for me from Burlington. I know there are tons of places on Champlain that you can catch walleye, specifically northern Champlain, though few spots you can catch them on a regular basis. Has anyone had any luck in the past on Northern Champlain waters? I hear they catch some nice fish up north, but im not sure exactly where. I hear Tabors point, and north hero state park, but im not sure if the sources are 100% reliable.

Any help to put me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

He's right the southern part of the lake, we fished down there last weekend and had some good luck. Our biggest eye was 9.5 and I've heard of 4 fish over 11lbs. Also I would check out the mouth of the Lamolle river and Tabor point always gives up some huge walleye. Good luck.
And God said "let there be FISH"

I would like to see some of the pics of these eleven pounders.  If there has been for taken somebody must have a picture.

Goto the Soutern part of the lake.  12-16 lb walleye there.  Suspended.
