8oz Asso and a #20 Wolfram has saved the day many times, don't like too but sometimes you have to do whatever it takes

You guy's are the man!
I have huge respect for you guy's that had the patience to master those ultra light lines. With that little piece of knowledge you can out fish nearly all of us on the days that extreme finesse is all the fish will deal with. That is one hump I have never been able to clear.

It's simply subtle patience. That little fluttery twitch that one puts on 2# line and a #12 jig/bait combo is magnified 2 or 3 times with the micro stuff. Just need to remind myself to be slower and much shorter with any movement of the tiny stuff, if at all. When you're in a situation where the need is to be that small to get a bite, odds are they aren't going to want to chase/follow much either. Easier than one thinks, just need to settle yourself down. Try it, makes all other types and sizes of presentation so much easier

If you want to slow your aproach down. Dont use smaller/thinner line. Use a BOBBER and just leave it alone.  :P

I've used 1 pound before but a leader with 1/2 pound would be awesome. Might have to pair that up with a #16 or #18 jig and bust the slow bite.
