Action at Salmon Dam

 :-\ There was none! Saw three fish caught/30 fisherman/4 hours/14" of ice. What the heck?

Hmm that's usually good.  Were you in the channel?  Were you after eyes or trout? The channel is good for eyes.  Not sure about trout out there I just catch them while walleye fishing occasionally.

Hey 2dogs, I'm not familiar that area you fished. How do you get there? Do you know the conditions at Big Sand Bay or Greys Landing?

To get to backwaters just stay on highway 93 about 1/2 mile south of turn off to Norton Bay, turn right and go 7 miles, can't miss it then. As for Greys and Sandy I don't believe there is fishable ice there but there was a section of 6" ice at Norton next to the open water but BE CAREFULL
