Nope. Your using the # of ppl signed up, not the # of ppl who actually posted an entry.
Your way is slanted towards whichever state, province or region has the most people signed up. That's why NY and PA have typically won in the past according to the prior post. It is pretty obvious too.
I could care less who wins or looses. Its about fun and with a little competition. If this was a big purse I could see the scepticism but its for a jigging rod and a few other small items not a big deal. I'm booked out on gear already and its just a way to compete. Thanks for the tourney and I'll be signing up next year. Just hope I'll win on the short board. I need to be very lucky to land a fish in the length that is required to compete but hey I don't care, I'm having fun. Is it the hole purpose about this on line tourney is fun.
The people who won are the individuals who entered fish. You are the one taking it a step further and saying the great State of XYZ has bragging rights simply because they have a large population and consequently a large number of entries resulting in more points. My take is that the most points earned per entry clearly go to Canada with only a few exceptions and that points earn per entry is clearly the best way fairly assessing which state, province or region really did win. So really the best new prize for next year should be for the region that got the most points with the fewest fisherman. NO I am not from Canada but they won hands down.Call it sour grapes but I am not really upset about this, just pointing out what should be obvious.

Exactly, it's fun and I can say I'm the bomb for taking back 2 back giant perch and winning..... I love the bragging rights... Going for 3 in a row next year...Matt
hope you get the three in row.... I jinxed myself awhile ago when i went for that in the perch category. acutally I moved away from my home waters. I might have done it if I had stayed. Have dropped a couple that would of placed the last two years and I dont fish near as much as i used two. you are only the second to take the perch cat two years running. good luck with the third.
