I will bring my quad too.. If I ever get it back from the shop! They have had it since Nov 24, and I guess they have no intention of getting to it any time soon! :%$#!: Mille Lacs Motorsports is at the top of my list right now. >:( They said it was a quick job and they would get it right in. >:( I am going to have to go get it and bring it somewhere else. :%$#!:

I will also bring my Shap DX 3000, but it is pretty small. Is anyone still interested in sharing a sleeper? I would be willing to throw some cash at it. I wouldn't stay the night, but It would be worth it to have a place to warm up. I have a Jiffy 8'' too, and the rest of my regular gear will come with. I will also load my GPS with some good local structure to hit.

Dont forget the beer!

Hey jeff, wanna carpool?  I'd be more than happy to pay my share of the gas.  Just seems like a waste for 2 cars to go up when i'll be driving right by ya
Maybe.  I was going to head up early with Timmer and he has to head out, mid day.

Me, Timmer, and Fishahalik are planning on meeting up here and getting there earlier in the morning, then coming back to Appledorns, to meet up.  However, I still don't have baby yet, but I wont worry if you don't.

You need to plan these things better. My wife is due AUGUST 26, far from any important outdoor activity. August is too hot to fish during the day and the mosquitoes will fly off with you at night. Next winter I will be allowed to have EIGHT lines down! ;D

The wedding and the first kid were planned away from everything.  This last one isn't my fault.  A whole day of drinking, followed by a dip in the hot tub are to blame.

I plan on being there w/ a guest (my neighbor - he's got the 2-up snowmobile trailer). We plan on being at the resort about 9.30 +/-.

Will have 2 sleds, Eskimo QF3 shelter (This seats two, and we can squeeze in a 3rd on a bucket if its really ugly out.) All the other ice toys as well.

Does Mille Lacs have an evening bite? My nephew & me are looking to take a 3 or 4 day trip and this sounds like one helluva time. If we can make it do we just bring the truck & all the ice fishing gear Jigsticks, tipups or just jigsticks? Should a guy bring the 4-wheelers. In WI right now there is so much slush. We buried the quads yesterday by Rhinelander, WI. 10" ice, 6" slush, 12" snow, not pretty. Thanks, Pat

Count me in. I'll have my typical gear with me; a portable that'll hold 2 people (3 if you toss the gear on the ice), a few rods, my vex, ect.

It looks like there are only 2 units from Appledorn's available for that weekend. Anyone looking to reserve one for the weekend? I'd go in on it.. Looks the available houses are 6 holers with room to sleep 4. If not, no big deal. Send me a PM if you're interested (or if you've already reserved one and need an extra guy to split bill)

I didn't say I was the one drinking all day and then jumping in the hot tub.  Good news though, just got back from the doctor and they said they will not let her go past next Wednesday, so that give me a week and a half to look like a great husband, before I ditch her for the GTG.

HEY PAUL!!!!
How are the roads looking?  Would you recommend sleds and wheelers?  What time do you put the coffee on?  Also, are you joining us for some fishing or is your boss one of those guys that makes you work on weekends.

The trick is to be a vulgar jerk in front of your wife's friends so they tell her to leave you home. :)

No, I have not even been on Mille Lacs this year. :-\

The ice is marginal and my pickup is heavy. You guys can do what you want, but I think I will take my ATV out. I didn't pay all that money to leave it set at home. ;D

Skipper,

Sorry for the delay in getting all of this posted.  I had some computer problems that prevented me from logging into this site.

Hard Ice,

Our roads are in great shape.  We are driving just about everything out, including 3/4 ton trucks with wheelhouses.  Our road network goes all over Doe Island Reef and extends out to 2 mile gravel and then south down to the north side of Hennepin Island.  I'm not going to kid you guys, with all of the small perch and forage in the lake right now, the bite has really been tough.

Is there a specific spot at the resort? How does one know they've found the right group?

I will have a dk red/silver GMC 4wd pu w/ a topper pulling a snowmobile trailer...

Here is a pic of me!

I should be wearing a tan hooded carrharrt jacket. I drive a red 95 GMC X-cab long box pickup with no topper. It will be pulling a weird super low single axle trailer with a green 06 sportsman on it. I will also put my cell number up later this week.

It looks like it may be a cooooold one boys.... :-\

Were you curling those cats??
I will also be in a Carhartt with an Anderson Windows logo (no I don't work there, got it on Ebay $15 brand new), Insulated jeans, and I will have a sled with a Green Eskimo, not sure which sled though.  I will have the Explorer with the sweet daycare logo on the side windows.
