One more thing about grillin and I'll shut-up about it. You may have heard about my religious experience this summer. I'm here to set the story straight! We were having a picnic down by the river. Grilling apple brats. They go good with beer too. Some thought I saw Jesus just because I yelled out his name. However, a piece of hot apple went down my shorts and blistered me! Let that be a warning to you.

Um.... Even though an Ice Fishing get-together is the quisessential definition of "Sausage Fest" I refuse to take it to that level

It's called male bonding. A lot of guys whose wives don't have them on short leashes, do it. We will post some pictures after the event so you can see what that's like.

Just outta curiousity, what kinda gear am I gonna need to bring? I've got one good eye rod, a couple of heavier (med w/ 6lb) pannie rods, some tipups. Is someone gonna have a house I can warm up in if it's a typical january day?

I am going to decide the morning of, if I am going to bring my house and heater or not. I was just planning on bringing 2 or 3 rods, a tip up, an auger and some bait and tackle. .

i am bringing a quad
a house - to fit two fishers
and 3-4 rods
bait and tackle
everything i would use on a normal day of fishing

p.s going over to cove bay to get a little Handle on mille lacs
