Hit the west side for some perch action yesterday and pulled 20 of these beauties from 7-10am then wasted the rest of the day by not catching another one by the time i left at 5pm...a few were taken on a diamond willow spoon in chrome with red paint and a chartreuse bead...a majority came on a VERY lively perch minnow...even had a 5lb walleye come in and hit a minnow but i missed her clean, lmao! man do they look cool coming in in that shallow water, cant wait for them to show up good in the shallows! fished 5-6fow on a clump of weeds

wouldnt so much call it "tooting my own horn" as informing as many people as possible that there are fish to be had along with an honest report...if thats wrong then im the worst guy out there but afterall, arent these fishing report forums?!

One question about the willow spoon... Do you tip this with a minnow head, or do they just hit the bead? I just picked one up and the guy at the tackle shop didn't know.

no bait needed and when theyre hitting those DW spoons, its awesome! i make sure the barb is bent down so that once they hit the top of the ice, they fall off and you can get back down quicker before the school moves on

So waz, you sound as if there was never an honest report before you arrived.... Where's that logic coming from. Lots of great reports here. maybe you should look around and see there's a great bunch of guys here giving GREAT reports before you got here. We love to hear what you have to say but why make it sound like we were nothing before you got here is.... well lets just say ODD

Nice fish...yeah,there were great reports before he got here and will continue after he's gone,,,but there has been a lot of flat out bogus reports also....carry on and good fishing all....be safe on the late ice...

never intended for it to come across that way, im sorry if thats how you feel...i said id give honest reports to help people, not to "toot my own horn"...theres plenty of others on various sites that love to do that, obviously...if you honestly feel like i was implying that this site was nothing before my reports, i believe you have bigger problems to worry about than my posts...i apologize to everybody else on this site for the inconvenience that this thread has become...moderators, feel free to remove it at your own discretion
