Nope.. rainbow smelt...no ciscos/ lake herring in NB...we do have a type of diadromous herring and alewives that are known as a group as gaspereau, but no lake herring, stomachs ranged from nothing to small minnows, which is what we catch them on quite often

Here's a couple more i got today, they were mostly small today but did a few nice size ones, these guys were headed for the fry pan the others i got were sacrificed for burbot bait
