Randall, Craig and Messenger in Coldwater and Union Lake in Union City have ice and plenty of guys fishing them.  Sorry but I don't know about the lakes closer to BC.

i have fished messenger 3 times in the last couple of weeks and nothing but dinks. However, I did take my 5 year old little girl there on Friday for her first time ice fishing. The dinks amused her and she had 6 "eaters" on the ice.Never been to the others except Union. Good fishing?

I get mostly dinks out of Messenger myself.  Gills have better size out of Randall and better yet out of Craig, generally speaking.  Both of these lakes have been pretty good this week, especially first thing in the morning, up to an hour or two after daylight.  Craig was also good this evening.  From 4:30 to 5:30pm I couldn't keep my line in the water.  Size was 7 to 9 inches.

Do you go on Craig from the public access? I might shoot down there tomorrow.

That's right.  It is on Stevens Shores Drive off Union City Road.

Just wondering if you got out there and how you did?  I haven't been out since Sunday.

I sure didn't. I had a little boo boo in my pickem up truck and was a touch sore. I am hoping to hook with someone and do some walleye fishing this weekend. Any ideas of a good spot? I hear that Coldwater lake is a walleye lake. I pre-fished it in the summer and caught a ton of pike. Didn't fish the bass tourney because of the temporary no wake law.

I have heard there are walleye in CW lake also, but have never fished for them.  I would not know where to go.  I do not know about the ice conditions on the lake either or where you would get on.
