Virgin Poster
« on: Jan 10, 2006, 02:29 PM »
First and foremost this site is AWSOME.  Just wanted to introduce myself to everyone and say hello.  Adam Wright, Monticello IN, live within 45 seconds of Lake Freeman, never been ice fishing on either lakes but do love to catch gills and crappie on a couple of different ponds.  My main love is bass fishing on open water but this time of year it is nice to just catch fish so I go for the gills.  Anyways, been lurking around for about two weeks and decided it was time become a member.  Hello to all and plan on talking to you alot more in the future.  Adam Wright

Welcome to the site, i reside in West Lafayette and make frequent trips up that way to fish the dams for walleye.  When we get some good ice, send me a message.  I know a spot were in the summer I got a lot of BIG 9-10inch bluegill on the lake that is damed by Oakdale, is that Freeman or Shaffer?

Anyway, welcome!

Thanks for all of the welcomes!!  Really want to learn more about ice fishing, like I said in my first post my real love is bass fishing which I "THINK" I have a pretty good handle on but the only ice fishing I have ever done is on ponds for gills and crappies.  I really love ice fishing and would really love to get a better handle on it.  Was on the ice in Dec. and caught a bunch of gills and crappies but really want to learn more about lake ice fishing.  Adam Wright

Adam, if you really like to bass fish, we'll have to meet up and do some early season bass fishing on my home lake. Some days you can "accidently" catch 100 or more fish. Most are 2-3 lbs, some 6-7's. By far the best bass lake I've fished. No that far from IN, in Hillsdale,MI.

WELCOME !!!!!!   Adam, I enjoy fihing the dams down in your neck of the woods. NORWAY and OAKDALE ,If this weather keeps up ,I will be down there with my open water gear casting for mooneyes.
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.
