Happy December 1 !

Hey Guys

My brother and I got out fishing on location X  yesterday and did really well! ended the day with 2 northerns and 8 bass. Was certainly nice to be out!! hopefully we will get some more cold to really lock things up!

I was shocked to do that well in that spot! Maybe because of first ice? It's fun to be able to see the fish under the ice! You should have seen how much the cars slowed down driving by-

I think it's more of a bass/panfish spot but that's only the second time I have been there-

  I bet! Last year, first ice, mabey 3'' on the pond we were fishing, this guy stopped, got out of his car, and started yelling at us "you guys arent very smart, your going to fall through! Thats pretty stupid to be out there!"   well jokes on him. he didnt go home with a mess of perch and seeds! haha   over 4ft of water and we had life vests on, along with our usual early ice gear of ropes and ice picks, no real danger.....

Hahahha vt-jig...I guess the joke was on him ...us die hard ice men know when its safe and when it's not.we do it as a profession...not as a partime joke...I'll take ice fishing over sex any day of the week and that's the truth....

I also know where this is! I showed vt-jig where it was, a good buddy of mine. I tested my luck last year with him.. Went neck deep in water getting off last year and I'm 6-2. That place never upsets me.. A cousin brought me there first ice a few years ago. Got my first pike ever and not to mention on my 24" UL with 4# test. It was a 30" like 7 lbs or so.. An older guy we met there ha fished there for years and he said his biggest out of there ever was over 40" long and 17 lbs.. That was a few years back! Happy fishing!

A long ways...farther than I'd drive anyway. about 65mi or so.

Well listening to the steady rain out my window right now that spot is done >:( I guess we just wait for more cold now. I guess I can't complain too bad, didn't even get out till after Christmas last year.....
