Not to sure, maybe it is the angle of the light but that rainbow doesn't look like it is in full health...

Looks good to me.

Spawning colors vary from fish to fish, and can also vary between different strains.

Nice fish.

Rainbows don't spawn under the ice, and if happen to somewhere, they aren't spawning now

most the big rainbows ive caught so far this season are full of sperm or eggs and  gettin ready to pop.

thanks guys! caught a couple more today. 2 iced, lost 3 at the hole  :%$#!:  and had six more hits but never hooked up... all the ones that i ice are hooked in front of their teeth. none hooked in their throat, mouth, or behind their teeth - only in the lips.... man do they hit lightly
