Got on Stump today with Chepi and then Mark Barlow met up with us a little later on in the morning. Slow and wind was the story of the day. Luckily Chepi brought out his Clam shelter and had the heater cranking. He also graciously supplied the spread of chili and a cheese and cracker platter. A big thank you to him for that (I'll get you back on the next outing). Mark and I each caught a pickerel, nothing to write home about. It was my first career fish at Stump, which by the size I'm embarrassed haha. The three of us had flags throughout the day, but no customers.

As I was packing up, I did get a flag as I was walking towards one of my tilts. What I thought was going to be a nice buzzer beater, turned out to most likely be a perch drive-by. I did reach a new level of cold, as my fingernails started to hurt (anyone else ever felt this?).

All in all, still a good day to get out on the ice. RIFish came out and hung out for a bit too which was cool. It was nice to meet two more Shanty members and it was DEFINITELY better than working.

Finally on the board at Stump now with this pig.

I thought I was going to have a nice walk-off, but no such luck.

That was my first thought when I saw the flag pop. I would've been calling for backup if there was a toothy motha on the line.

The wind never stopped at Stump today. Stayed until 4:00. Had a few flags with the dead herring on.False alarms. At the end of the day we got a flag. That tilt had a small hook with a shiner on."set up for bass". Got the fish to the hole. Saw the lips of a good pike. P.S. Ended up with the hook  spread wide open on the ice. That was the first pike while ice fishing for me. Do I call that a catch or is that still considered goose egg. ? Ha. Good day on the ice. Met RI Fish. Nice portable fire bro!!!

I got some of those. They work good, but they have a 10 inch diameter and I have 8 inch holes, so they tend to freeze to the ice around them, but they still keep the holes from freezing. I just pull them up every once in a while, but besides that they work great
