well tested my new VX-1 today, it was awesome, ended up getting my best perch of the year, 14.15", check on line tourney... ice is awesome.... fishing was OK, hit sugar loaf with Icehogger, he caught 4, and I got 7, caught my deepest depth wise perch, all the one's I caught were in 33+ feet of water.....

Nice fish! Is the road open and are you guys fishing out by the island or close to the park? Walking out? 4 Wheeler? I know I ask a lot of questions. Last year we walked from the corner and got over the fence and walked and walked and.....well you understand.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Nice fish...you beat me by a 150 thousands. Was that you guys just East of the Island? Looks like you were out a ways from it though.

14" on the button. We came home with 8. This was the biggest. Either we moved to right spot or they did not bite till afternoon but they moved from 20+ ft of water to right up on shore at dark. Tons of bites but they would only tug at it and let go. One 16" trout. The warden was out on the ice and we were the last he checked out from the ramp. Said we were the only ones with any fish.

Shredder there is only a skiff of snow up there. Roads are open and dry.

chief were you the two that were there right before we walked in? its a bit of a walk over too the island from the old highway, we stopped at the corner right before the old highway and walk in, just figured we would walk in a straight line.... it's about a mile too the island, I know i'm alittle sore from pulling my sled with gear that far and back, I won't forget the 4-wheeler next time....

Nice perch. I haven't caught one that big since I was a kid. Now it is impossible to fine a perch 10 inches where I am.

that was us like i say headed up in the morning with wife aunt and uncle they never have been ice fishing looking for the best place to start . out sugar loaf some where

Hey sihlms,

Cascade is a great weekender trip with decent motel rates for around $55 a night. If you can make it down, post it on here and someone is sure to show you the ropes....or at least some good spots to fish...

Hey guys I am planning a trip down with my brother in the next couple of weeks. Looks like there are some cascade pros here so I thought I would start here. Want to fish a couple of days. From the little research I have done it looks like the island off sugarloaf would be a good place to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated. PM me if necessary. Looking to find one or two f those giant perch. Thanks.

Good job hogger. You pulled in right behind us, we went for breakfast and you swung into Tom's. We struggled just to the South of you to catch anything over 6". Just could not get away from the babies. did pull in a limit of 14-16" trout.

Hey Hamstn,

Think I remember seeing you guys uturn out of Tom's parking lot. Just keep tryin for the hogs...they're in there. I fished next to a friend of Mooseymo's and as far as average size...he kicked my butt. He went home with 10 and I don't think any were under 12" and he had one dead on 14"....hope to see you up there

Good fish hogger. a couple friends and I fished sunday where you and lance fished monday. Had my best day of the year with 27 jumbos and two friends with 10 to 15 each. Did you go out deeper later in the day?
