wont be long now

seen quite a few lakes getting froze over.fired up the auger
and getting all my stuff ready.cant wait to drill my first hole.
freezing temps every night this week.oh and i bought some
berkley cold weather line today,3lb test.anyone ever use

Yep, the boy and I just spooled up the extra tipups we picked last Sunday.  We also started to build a new sled for hauling all the stuff out on the ice today.  Should have that done tomorrow.

new blades on my auger...check
rods and tip ups spooled and new leaders...check
vexilar battery charged...check
depth finders, jigs, creepers, ice picks in the bucket...check
ice to use it all on...

boy how the weather changes things.now calling for rain
all day.and 40s tomorrow.gets cold again in the middle of

Never used the trilene cold water (blue line) but always use trilene ice (grey line ) 3lb test. we'll be lucky to have ice by mid Jan. Pa. not the best state for ice but always fun when it comes.I'm ready to fish and cook plenty of venison,bring on the ice.

some of the lakes had a good start.but this rain and
warmer temps are going to kill it.
oh and atleast you have some venison,i got skunked this year.
