ice conditions on woodlake and trade lake

Any one know how the ice conditions are on trade or wood lakes. I live 2 hours away and don't want to drive that far just to realize i will not be fishing today.

What counties are these lakes in?

The lakes are in Burnett county

you can get out and fish with no problems. although it snowed a ton the last 2 days so there is a lot of weight on 6 inches of ice and it really hasn't been cold to make more ice. let me know when  you are coming up if you want a fishing buddy. i live minutes away from both of these lakes.

sounds cool. might be tough for me to get out and i think i might slow down by then. i was on big wood last night and its been an irregular year for ice. seems like it might have slowed the bite down...or changed the time of the bite.

How much ice is on wood right now

last time i was on big wood there was 13" of solid ice. not sure about now but i know the ice isn't going away anytime soon. oh, and the local bait shop owner said they are slaughtering crappies right now! I NEED AN AUGER THAT IS GOING TO RUN!!!
