you print a card out that is issued to all entrants and then take that fishing with you. if you catch a fish, enter it by taking two pictures: one of you with the tourney card and fish in your hands, and another of the fish with a legible ruler & the tourney card next to it (enter your first fish, whatever the size - you can upgrade it when you catch a bigger one; any entry qualifies you for a weekly random drawing to win prizes). you are competing as an individual in the derby, but every state likes to boast about how many serious fishermen they have, and Wyoming is no different: we can be proud of our past performances, and we all should put the effort in to enter some more nice fish this year! Laramie area, new to ice shanty, but not ice fishing. You guys might like to hear what us old guys have to share. Usually the ice season starts first week of november up on Medicine Bow peak lakes, Mirror and Silver lakes are the best. After the road closes we move down to Lake Owen and Rob Roy res. After which we start hitting the tournaments at Saratoga, Hattie, and Delany Buttes in Colorado. Have always wanted to fish up around Sheridan, starting with Buffalo Bill res. Have you ever gone into Yellowstone for ice fishing the big lake. Maybe we could help out with the lake trout problem.
