I am a chemist doing research and development for a large corporation. My area of expertise is interference effects from thin films, so I get to apply my degree in chemistry and physics to the development of new and improved optical effects. When the women in your lives purchase nail polish, eye shadow etc. with a sparkle effect, or when you buy a new car with a metallic effect paint you are paying my salary. This motivates me to improve our products further to get you to spend even more money, and so on.
Some of our products are used in fishing lures as well.

Quality Assurance, Document Control, and do some Technical writing. Basically I create and edit work instructions on how to do all of the parts we run here. Not fun but tolerable. Been here for 11 years now and will be several more for sure.

I'm the Technical Manager for a county economic development agency (psuedo gov't organization). Basically, anything technical I manage
! My self and the IT staff take care of our computers, servers, networks, phones, etc. As well as work on outside projects that help promote economic development in our county, such as supplying technical support to small poor non-profit agencies in the county and developing and deploying wireless "Hot Zones" throughout Buffalo, NY. If you have a PC with a wireless card you can actually get a signal at the Erie Basin Marina (in Buffalo) so you can provide immediate fishing updates from your boat
. Not sure how far out into the water the signal goes, I may have to take a day this spring and cruise around the Lake Erie waterfront testing
!

I'm the Survey Manager for a Land Surveying & Civil Engineering Firm. Believe it or not - I love my job. We are a small firm doing the work of firms twice our size. My employer is one of my best friends and a fisherman also. In warmer westher we take company fishing trips (the last was an Erie Walleye Charter) and to Cubs games.

I work for a friend of mine and have a lot of different type hats. Some days I handle various human resource issues for his various companies (distribution, manufacturing and technical service), other days I dabble in internet connectivity and database management system things, and yet other days could find me in the project managment mode or even taking a swing at some technical writing work that happens to stacks up from time to time. In the past it's been fun but fairly disjointed, more along the lines of a jack of all trades and a master of none (HR responsibilities excepted). Currently, I'm in the process of transitioning over to our hardwood sports flooring company and heading up its respective marketing efforts. I'm really looking forward to the change and new responsibilities.

I'm an Engineer from 4 in the moring until 2 in the afternoon. After that, and any other time I'm guiding hunters, and fisherman part time. It ain't as easy, or as glamorous as every one thinks. It's a lot of hard work. If you don't find game people don't come back. I wouldn't change any thing though. I love it.

Production Director for 2 radio stations in the Lehigh Valley, PA. What this means is....I'm the guy that creates all those commercials for radio that you guys turn off when they come on.
I write em, I direct voice talent, I produce them and sometimes even be the voice over myself. Remember, no purchase necessary, void where prohibited, tax and title extra, 0% financing to qualified buyers only, some restrictions apply, see store for details, close cover before striking!

I've been at a large photographic company in Rochester, NY (think yellow box) for almost 37 years.Currently I am in a photo lab and often produce prints from digital files. I sometimes get tough jobs, like testing new consumer digital cameras.I also have a project in Daytona the 15th-21st of February . Does anybody know if there's anything special to do that weekend???

Terminal Manager for a local towing co. in Harvey , IL. Usually shorthanded on drivers during the winter , ( duh , wonder why nobody wants to work outside in the winter? ) Was a full time 24/7 driver towing semi tractor/trailers , now in the office , but still tow the trucks when needed.
Some days are pretty good , others , ready to pull what little hair i have left out. Especially when people ask why their car was towed off the expressway after it sat there for only 2 or 3 days?
Excuse me sir/ma'am , the state police have a 2 hr limit on shoulder parking , they call us out to tow it , we just go out looking to tow something.

Electrical Engineer for a Utility that covers rural parts of ND and MN, I do studies on the power grid's stability and also do programming on the control system that manages the flow of power from the generators to all the end customers. On occasion, I get to travel out to some of our customer locations (Devils Lake, ND, Warroad and Baudette and NW Angle MN) and make it a weekend trip
with a fishing rod.
