I did not see the salmon but I was at Barbers when Ray was plowing the ramp for the stocking truck which was on it's way

Carbuncle may not get them. When I spoke to the DEM she said "because of access issues some ponds might not get any". They are going to post a notice that gives location and other info mid to late week. Those fish need a week to settle in before the bite turns on right. It sure is fun when you get them, I got two last year. Be careful of bad information.-------SS

i didn't get one yesterday but I did get a bunch of Crappie didn't go today but they ought to be about right for weekend had a little time to settle down just about any shiny spoon ,pimple or puppet minnow should work jig about halfway down to just under the ice is how I get them and don't  look in the hole if they see you peeking they will run and hide ;D

Hey SS. Nice to meet you the other day. Put around 20 fish on the ice today w/ that new jigging rod. Thanks for the heads up on the sale  ;D We're going to try Barbers tomorrow AM. I'll let you all know how we make out.

Dick's in Warwick had a few of the jigging rods on sale. Not sure what else, but that's what i picked up.

They didn't have sale prices advertised. SS had asked to have a price checked on a jigging rod and confirmed it was on sale.

Good to hear it Mopar, good meeting you to. Dicks is clearing out all the ice stuff. Some fiberglass rods for $14.00 and some real light stuff for $12.00 with the reels. I also picked up a st croix set up at EP Baitshop for $40.00. I'm liking this jigging thing. I have always liked glass rods and this one should be good for the Salmon. Stiff enough to handle a fight but soft enough not to rip the hook out. It reminds me of an Ugly stick.-----------------SS
