We have good ice in the southern U.P. I was out on LBDN last week. There was a good 7" of crystal clear ice and ATV's pulling "permanent" ice shanties out. I was on a small inland lake in Menominee County on Monday. There was about 8" of ice out there. It appeared as though someone had driven a pickup out, but I wouldn't try that yet.
