Met up again for Round 2 of Perch Hunting with Slayer, TimK, and Fishslap. We were again successful. MUCH slower day today than Monday, the fish were just not interested. They'd come through and just look. But we were still able to find some eaters. I stuck with it in my favorite spot, and I was even able to beat my previous PB Perch (14") from Monday, with a 14.5" piggy, right at 2 lbs. Gold Swedish Pimple with a spike. Man, she hit it good. It was a no-doubter. Prolly my best perch fight to date, as well. As with my other 14" from Monday, I wasn't able to release her due to the decompression trauma. I would have if I could have. Beautiful fish--like a peacock bass almost.

I also managed a 19" wally, and a few other 10-12" eater perch. Slayer, Tim, and Shaun ground out some keepers today, too so I'll let them share their stories. Great day, fellas!

Way to go Nate! Back to back PR's - that looks like a perch from South Dakota, fat on scuds, not from Colorado!

Nate was the King today! Man it was tough out there! I iced 7 in 7 hrs. In the afternoon every hole I tried would have a perch come out of the bushes and check it out then go away. Out of 20 lookers I had like 3 touches. Oh well great day fishing with friends and a 12" an 2 @11" not too bad.

Another great day, Even if the fishing was tough. Took home 7 perch with nothing bigger than 9.5 mostly 8.25s. You guys were a traveling marcum orgy out there today, all that wattage must have scared the piles of perch away

. Was def worth the hike though

It was a grind it out kind of day! You got some nice ones...just a warm up for CASCADE!

It was great fishing with you, Tim! Yeah, that’s our strategy. Us Marcum guys scare the Vex and Hummingbird guys away!

That hike is easy! Come on...just need to be in shape!

It was a good day to be out. Slow but some nice fish were caught...mainly by Nate

. All I have to show is a sink of death pic. My biggest was 11.5. All are destined for fish stew.

Made my small haul from Friday into perch cakes! Pan sear, oven finish @420 degrees. With spicy lemon aioli
