I haven’t ice fished Glendo.  Do you need an atv/snowmobile to work the lake or can you walk it?

I’m staying put in my Wisconsin house even though it’s putting ice on the lakes around here.  Got word water pipes frozen at farm in Tennessee but not even going to try and make the 12 drive in this monster storm. Hell this is like life at Yellowknife NWT

The thing that gives me pause at Glendo is that though you may be able to walk or even ride onto the ice at your entry point you may not be able to get back off the ice at that point later. Many Glendo veterans bring a ladder or plank to bridge that gap. Glendo fills in winter and frequently an otherwise substantial cap will move during the time you are there leaving you to face what may be a substantial open water gap at your chosen exit point! It is a big reservoir with a lot of structure and an ATV would be handy but could be problematic.

Cold? That's why we have shanties and heaters. You know it's cold when I have my hoodie on and not just the long sleeve t-shirt. The wind is what I dislike. Lol.

If it's so cold I need a hut and a heater I don't go!  ill fish some local and not so local lakes this week where the temps will be in the 40F-55F range.  And calm winds.  I don't do wind.  T-shirt weather. ;)
