Is this a good idea

I have a good stream/river. It changes names after it hits the waterfall. With walleyes I catch them durring the summer. Any way. There is a bay above the falls and it's the only place that freezes enough to fish. The water is 5-7 feet deep and durring the day catch a bunch of small panfish. My ? is whould it be worth night fishing for them?

usually when i see " is this a good idea?"
first reaction is NO!!!!!
but after reading,
if eyes are there in the summer,
unless they move upstream, dont see why not,
i would try it, falls may be acting as natural trap ,

I never fished that bay in the summer to small to sneek in with a boat. That stretch of water is about 1 1/2 mi. long with water falls at each end. That holds a good a mount of bass and walleye. The only safe place to fish during winter is that bay that holds alot of small pan fish. When I try it I will try both large and medium minnows and my ol faithfull swedish pimple.
