Crappie
« on: Jan 04, 2013, 01:25 PM »
So whats that first crappie 15" measuring from the upper lip? Dang already set the bar pretty high 4 days in. This is my first year in the tourney, but shouldn't that 2nd fish go on the short board if someone already has one bigger?

give it time, there will be a 16" plus fish on there....the right bodies of water need to freeze over first   ;)

That is one thing about living more to the south, we get ice a lot sooner but you get a longer growing season for fish to get bigger. But I have seen a 17" crappie caught out of a local lake, but they are few and far between. My PB is a 15" I have been trying to break the 16" barrier for a long time. Maybe this will be the year.

That's a nice Crappie. My PB is 12.75 and I thought that was big. You got me looking up our state record in WI. Bigger than I thought at 19.75 inches 4lb 8oz. Was caught in summer though. That's sickening to me. Unreal...

nice fish.  wish we had Crappie in Alberta. And bass, and carp, and bluegill, and...
coffee- do stupid things faster, with more energy.
