First you get a hammer

Then you place your hand on the workbench with your fingers spread wide apart

Then, one by one you smash the tip of each finger with the hammer

If you can take the pain without fainting dead away, you've passed the pain threshold test for becoming a moderator......a necessary quality!

Or you could just contact Admin and ask  :P

Well it's not quite the same.

Prior to marriage, a man should attempt to pass the "Selective Hearing" test. While ingenerate this ability must maturate.

It's most easily evaluated in a room full of Women while watching your favorite sports event on TV.  The skillful practitioner will successfully disregard all female animadversion (flirtatious advances excluded) and remain fixated. Acknowledgment in any form other than the accepted "Uh...Huh" results in immediate failure.

I've been told I'm a "Selective Hearing" virtuoso (In so many words) by my bride of 38 years.

My Boss has noticed the skill creeping into the workplace as well. Especially when there's ice.

My boss sweats when the lakes here start to skim ice.. I am sitting on about 5 weeks of vacation and when temps drop we get real busy around the water company with main breaks and all ;D

I think being a Moderator might be a pretty tough chore. Make me think of, if you were a policeman(Law enforment officer, et al.) & once you were off duty, would ya want to hang out in the same tavern as the ones you might have to take to the "pokey" the next day.  Yeah, I know some that do hang "close to their beat", & it's a tough job. "There's a difference between business & pleasure", as long as all know the difference, right?
:)

Kudos to those that do the job! :)
