Fish Kill
« on: Mar 16, 2009, 03:09 PM »
Well just got back from a little honey hole of a pond. I thought I would head over there this afternoon and see if I couldn't coax a few bites. Well I had not been there since ice off, and my fears came true when I saw probably 100 dead fish. The last time this year right after the thick ice/snow times I fished it, and did not mark a single fish. I had my suspicions and hoped I was wrong but was proven correct. This is a really small pond and I have a feeling that this will no longer be a honey hole. The kill was probably 85-15 approx gills/bass respectivly. What a sinking feeling. Well just had to vent.
