Hit the Ottawa Riverwith my little bro Jig head today to meet up with a bunch of fellas from another board....The crappie bite stopped at around 9:00AM with a sad total of 3 over 10 inches :(. The gills were active all day, I must have caught in the range of 50-70 of the little buggers...I had my flag trip 3 times with two fish caught, a 3 and 2 pound snot rocket. It was great to meet some new faces and some old...Can't wait to hit the ice with Big Jim on monday!

Jig head jiggin up the pike.

Bucket,Nighttroller, and Ransome all and cozy ;D

Too many of these guys today......

Funny, there were about 10 fish on the screen when I took the flick.

Great Day in all!

Those pics are great! I'm a bit curious about the 4th pic up from the bottom-the one with the open water and orange safety fence. Are the trucks on the ice or solid ground?

That was a brook trout derby on a pond in Quebec.....Ice was safe, the center of the pond is open due to the small windmill on the right hand side of the pic...It pumps oxygen to all the rainbow and specs in the pond!Neat huh,oh and yes that truck is on the ice.

New to the site, and I just love some of the names that the canucks and easterners give their fish. I just have to ask, what is a snot rocket? Thanks for any info you can give me.  :D

Dragged the sled and equipment down to the Ottawa River(love living so close!!) tonight to test out some new toys...Walleye were on the bite all day and a few pike to boot! Was not able to snap pics, but my neighbor in the shack beside stopped by to grab a propane cylinder  just as I reeled the little guy below....Biggest walleye tonight was 21'' and pike 27''......Total:Pike-2 Walleye-9

You can resize, but you have to manually insert the dimensions when you post the picture link.

Don't do it though, the bigger the picture, the better.  Doesn't take much time to load, those who complain about loading times need to get with technology and get high speed internet.  Keep the pictures coming.

tip-uptwo,
I was having problems with my pics..they were too dam big.  I found that if you open the pictures up in paint and go to the heading "Image" then "Stretch/Skew" you can juggle around with the size i.e. changing 100 on horizontal and vertical to..lets say 30.  If you think 30 is too small or too big hit "ctrl z" and it undos it.  Keep trying till you get right size.  Also make sure to keep your original and make a new copy of the new one.
Hope that helps

Hey bud

I picked up a Blackcat heater by Coleman and found it really didn't do the trick when the temps dropped....I got more bang for the buck and it was worth every extra penny....Now all I need is some time to fish >:(
