I've got an old pair of LaCross boots. Very comfy, broke in just right. However they are cracked from squatting down all the time. Saturday nite fishing in 4" of water, I says to my buddy, " These are some bada$$ boots. Look at these cracks and my feet are still dry". Well I get home and pull my boots off and I pour at least a cup of water out of each one. The Gortex liners kept my feet dry and warm all nite ,even though we were in 4" of water. Gotta give it to Gortex, fine job.
