I had the same experience as MJB today out on huddle. No one was out there besides 2 other guys. That walk was horrible. Every step, your in slush...and once your sled gets wet, its over. On the way in, some of the wind drifts were over 2' deep...there was no drifts when we went out at 7am.fishing was bad also. Wasn't even worth it.
Still beats working tho right?
with the conditions, walk, and how fishing was today...I would have rather made money.
Your nuts ..lolMoney comes and goes... Memories last forever.. Today, I would have rather been in your shoes..
I wish you were in my shoe's today as well, dragging me out there in my sled
Anyone have any info to how much slush is on the lake? And how much snow
Were you pulling a passenger or just your own gear ? I don't accept riders unless its the old school slogan ya know, a, g or gas .lolDon't think you qualify . LolI would have rather been sucking wind in the free air then sulfuric acid on the company's dime today. It's all good
I heard you can get a ticket for fishing on MDB during carnival is this true?
I dont know for the rest of the lake, but yesterday huddle bay had about 5" of slush under 8" of snow....and then in the afternoon, after the wind was blowing all day, that 8" of snow turned into snow drifts 24" deep.
I went out on Huddle on Monday during the storm. All I can say is have at it. The drag is just that. To top it all off, the bite was stinking lousy.
It is a little funny to me that everyone on this site seems to call Lake George "the King". Obviously George was a king of England, but the lake is known as the "Queen of American Lakes". Just sayin...
