Good advice! It's been to warm. I might consider a trip WAY up north (Franklin Co) but anything south of the Inlet area should be off limits now

LOL Mike! Yeah, we Binghamton folks always get that "Downstate" NYC rap - I wouldn't walk into that jungle if my life depended on it. BUT I agree, Tupper Lake is upstate! I have spent my life hanging around the woods in Franklin Co and this coming Friday might be the next time. I always wanted to jig a Laker out of Rollins Pond or South Pond. Any opionions on them? Thanks

There is a real easy way to fix this, chop it off at Rosco and let it float out to sea.  All gone

Always figured their was Northern NY, Central NY, Southern NY and finally "The City".  Though their is Western NY that is kind of a sub-set

I've never fished South Pond and I'm not sure what's even in there other than perch.  Rollins has lakers and it gets fished, but mostly for smelt I believe.  I haven't fished it this year at all though.

South Pond in Hamilton County, north of Blue Mountain Lake, is stocked with Lake trout and Brook trout, and ice fishing is permitted.

South or Rollins, I will be on one of them. South is about 45 mins closer but I read somewhere that there is a steep bank to navigate down in. Not a big deal unless it's a real cliff
