Conneaut Lake
« on: Feb 17, 2008, 07:27 AM »
Hello,  I was wondering if anyone has been fishing Conneaut this season.  I have heard ice has been limited and the bite slow.  I generally go off the launch near the park.  Any info?

Thanks Jack

I fished it today and only caught one gill. The ice was getting pretty bad when I left it had standing water with 4-5in of ice with only about 2in of black ice.

We were out yesterday fishing conneaut.  Walked in from firemans launch.  Set up a bunch of tip ups and we caught 14 Northerns, of which we kept 5 of them.  Ice was shaky getting on and off but had around 4-5 inches of ice on the lake.  Of that maybe the top inch was crap.  It was our second day this year fishing for northerns.  Had good days both times.  Seamed the pan fishing wasnt going very well for most ppl.  Hope this rain dont hurt the ice to bad but im guessing it will be another few days of cold temps before the shore lines are safe to navigate after this rain.   Dennis
