Team IceShanty wins at Tobyhanna Derby

Cubefisher and Saphireblue99 teamed up at the tobyhanna derby today. Took the Cash prize for heaviest fish, I took a 4.4 lb Pickerel thiis morning 1st flag, and with Saphireblue assistance put her in the box. She held up and even beat the days biggest bass by a pound or so. Super windy out on the ice with a slow pick for most on tip-ups through the day. will post more photos tomorrow.

Good fishing guys; you bring honor to the Ice Shanty family. Despite it's rep, I've seen some really big pickerel on the ice at Toby. Those trout the state feeds them seem to be  a good source of protein!

Hey Mel, Thanks again for a great time fishin, I guess most of these guys think we were sittin around in the sunshine today, you'll have to post a pic of what 40+ mile an hour gusts blowin snow really looked like. Oh yeah and my right calf is the size of a balloon from that dip I took in one my own drilled 10 inch holes!!!! :o

First place was 8+ lbs,  second was  6+ lbs  mostly weight from perch

I'm not positive but around 150 or so, Saphirre99 knows beter than I, it doesn't look crowded by the pics, but people were scattered all over and most were by the dam, which we were not.
