MyFishFinder.com Just like iceshanty but warmer
Fished a small bay on friday, found ice about the size of a couple city lots, 5” thick. Crushed walleye all day none over 3 pounds but kept a few between the two of us. Then hammered a 2 pound trout, gunna be amazing on the traeger im sure. Lotsa little hammer handles too. Great first ice for me so far.
Tried coteau today. Slow for me seen a few other groups. I have never been more excited to have some snow on ice so you can walk without using every muscle in your body. anyone else on here one of the groups out there, curious how you made out? also seen a few groups shore fishing........
Have the last 2 years seemed worse for needing cleats or average to everyone?
The Elbow and some of Elbow Harbour are still open water. There has been some ice fishing from the launch back. The occasional trout being caught. The Quappelle Arm is now frozen over as of yesterday. Will probabaly be walking on for a while. I did hear there was 13" of ice at the Quappelle Dam. I haven't been there yet, so I'm not 100% sure. Good luck and take care.
Usually about 1' off the bottom. Have fun.
