Jigging with Mormyshka Jigs
« on: Dec 17, 2005, 06:39 PM »
When using Mormyshka Jigs, do you use only the Mormyshka or do you use the Mormyshka as a dropper under (or above) some other jig???

If you use only the Mormyshka, what gets it down (they are so tiny and light)??

Do you tip them with grubs??

Mormyskas are different Fishing king....   If they are too small on 2 lb line then use as a dropper.....  I usually use any small jig as a dropper or above a heavier jig as I like having good control with my jig and to get it down FAST!!!   Those Mormyshkas are awesome jigs but expensive I love em

I use Mormyshka jigs in varying sizes. There are some heavier sizes, but the smaller ones are very effective in shallow waters. I use 1-2lb and sight fish as much as possible. I don't like droppers as a rule...they get hung up and are easy to lose with that light of a line...but I don't see why you couldn't.
