This is our first time putting a shack on the river and i was wondering what are the best spots to set up. Please help

       If your after some large greenbacks I'd say put it up near sugar island. This area has done well for me over the last couple years. If your after lots of smaller fish like sauger and goldeye and the occasional pike try closer to lockport. If your after large pike you cant go wrong with the end of main past breezy point especialy in March.

We're putting ours up at Lockport. That's our "home base" :)
Like Levista stated there's plenty of action with the Sauger and the occasional Walleye and Pike. Great place to take the kids to as well. Lots of action for them.
When we want a change we load the Fish Trap and head north. :)
