Small?  Those would be killer eater size in the Colorado mountains.  Brooks are too thick in our high mtn streams and lakes and very stunted.

Same in Idaho if you get a 12 incher your lucky

I can tell you that the biggest brookie I've caught was 18" and around 3lbs.
Those are "some" fish...
